The two acre garden is a plant-enthusiast’s dream with beds of coloured leaves and variegated, evergreen and flowering shrubs such as bougainvillea. Victoria has created an extensive collection of heliconias, bromeliads and ginger lilies. The estate has many tropical and spice trees including flamboyant, mahogany and bay leaf. Designed to provide year-round colour, many guests return to the garden throughout the calendar year to enjoy the different plants in bloom. The estate provides a wealth of vegetables and fruit for the table, along with flowers and medicinal plants for signature tea blends. We regularly send flowers and plants for the Chelsea Flower Show.

The garden has been a key feature of the estate from its inception. It was first laid out by Vera Slinger, the wife of Dr. Leonard Slinger, and the baton was passed to Victoria Slinger, the wife of Paul Slinger, a former minister of Tourism in the Grenada government, who has developed it into a tropical paradise that is listed in the book “1001 gardens you must see before you die.” by Rae Spenser-Jones.
